Wednesday december 31, 2014, day 6 of the estrus
Today we went to vetenarian clinic Sleeuwijk for the first progesterone test. Of course, Geoff ois a good indicator but to keep the pack calm and to prevent our inventorie we decided to seperate geoff and Eva before mating. Collecting blood was a matter of seconds and Eva thought is was fine. Mainly because of those nice cookies from the vet! After an hour and a half we got called by the vet with the results: 0.2. Het bloedprikken was zo gepiept en Eva vond het allemaal wel prima. Waar die heerlijke koekjes van de dierenarts al niet goed voor zijn. Na anderhalf uur werden we gebeld met de uitslag 0.2 . Not significantly increased, so we planned a new appointment.
Monday januari 5, 2015, day 11 of the estrus
In goog spirits we went to Sleeuwijk for a second progesterone test. We thought the level would be increased, but that was not true.. De results: 0.4. Again no significant increase. Eva is ringleader in everything. But now she is not a fast riser. But that does not matter, she is certainly not the only one whose right mating date is late. In a few days we go back to the clinic. Geoff starts to be a little worried now. He can smell Eva and Veerle (yes, both ladies are in heat) and he is not allowed to see them.. Packlife is hard voor a male dog twice a year..
