December 2010 our first Drentsche Patrijshond Ruben Max van de Sebatiaans Hoeve came to live with us. What he triggered is not to descibe in one page. In a nut shell: in december 2013 we had 4 Drents (two male, two female) a kennel name and a dream to breed our own Drenten litter
The dream got a little disturbed. In juni 2014 Max got ill. Not a simple flu but that terrible disease Cancer. Because operating on him was to risky and the chance to recover very small we decided after consulting our vet to treat Max only for pain to give him nice last days. On septmeber 30 2014 his time had come. With pain in our hearts we had to let him go. Everyday we light a little candle next to his urn and picture..
But als always; (pack) life goes on.
Our youngest male Geoff George van de Sebastiaans Hoeve (son of Max) is a succesfull stud dog en produced several litters. He was ment to be mating our females as well. This meant for Geoff and for us to wait untill our oldest female Eva reached the age of two years. She became tow years old last october. Now we had to wait untill she was in heat…

Around two weeks earlier than expected Eva is in heat! During Christmas dinner we only talked about one thing: are we continuing our plans? Yes we will! Exciting times are ahead of us…
